A thorough grooming at least once a week will keep the coat in a manageable condition; however, a bath is required from time to time. The double dewclaws do require clipping every few weeks.
The decision to own a Pyrenean Mountain Dog should be considered carefully and a puppy acquired if you are convinced that this breed is for you. Once you decide upon the breed, however, you will fast become one of the many who firmly believe this is the most beautiful dog in the world.
